SamuraiTrucks has been Canada's first JDM/Kei vehicle importer since 2001. We've imported hundreds of kei trucks and vans, Hilux Surfs, Land Cruisers, Patrols, Skylines, Delicas, and more — and we've done it the hard way, with physical inspections, AMVIC licensing, and a real Canadian shop for pre-delivery service.

How Our Import Process Works

1. You tell us what you want. Chassis code, year range, budget, must-haves (diesel, 4WD, manual, etc.).
2. We source candidates from Japan. Auction, dealer stock, private seller — our network has all three.
3. Physical inspection in Japan. Our in-country partner shop lays eyes on the vehicle before the hammer falls. No sight-unseen gambles.
4. Export and shipping. We handle Japanese export paperwork, container booking, insurance, and ocean freight to Vancouver or Halifax.
5. Canadian import clearance. 15-year rule verification, customs duties, GST, and provincial PPSA checks.
6. Pre-delivery inspection in our Alberta shop. Compression test, fluid change, safety inspection, any needed repairs.
7. Delivery to you. Pick-up in Alberta, or flat-rate shipping to anywhere in Canada.
